BLEED RUNNER
A downloadable B-movie of a videogame for Windows and macOS
WHAT IS THIS
BLEED RUNNER is a 2.5D cyberpunk beat-em-up in which a lone knight fights against an encroaching plague! Suddenly stricken with the disease, seek the cure on the mysterious spaceship and survive by grabbing, throwing, and pummeling enemies for blood!
Inspired by classic space operas such as Queen Emeraldas (1998) and ultraviolent combat games, BLEED RUNNER was created in collaboration between USC Games and the Berklee College of Music for USC's CTIN 489 ("Intermediate Game Design and Production") class for the Spring 2023 semester.
WHAT'S IN THIS

- Static camera system inspired by PS1-era games such as Resident Evil (1996) and One (1997)

Install instructions
Download either the PC or the Mac .zip files and unzip them.
If you are having any problems with launching the game on either platform, please let us know in the comments!

Cool talk
For those who want to play on a Mac and for whom the game doesn't work (saying the app can't be opened with no further explanation), try this:
- place the application in the Applications folder and rename it BLEED RUNNER (makes the process easier, technically you can rename it however you want and have it wherever you want but do remember to change the following commands accordingly).
- open the Terminal
- run these :
cd /
cd Applications/BLEED\ RUNNER.app/Contents/MacOS
chmod +x BLEED\ RUNNER
- when trying to open it now, you should get a warning saying the app is from an unknown developper, click "Ok". The app should close itself
- open System Settings
- scroll down to Privacy & Security
- you should read ""BLEED RUNNER" was blocked from use because it is not from a identified developer."
- click "Open Anyway"
- another warning shows, this time you can click "Open"
- from now on the game can be opened properly
- enjoy :)
